Cultural & Historical Immersion

• Cape Coast Slave Castle – Walk the haunting halls where our ancestors passed, and participate in an emotional guided tour that ends with a time of healing.
   
• The Last Bath – Participate in a cleansing ritual at the river where enslaved Africans took their final baths before being shipped away.
   
• Renaming Ceremony – Honor your identity with a Ghanaian name and meaning, given by local elders in a traditional ceremony.
   

Adventure & Exploration

• Monkey Sanctuary – Feed and play with monkeys in their natural habitat.
   
• Waterfalls & Hiking Trip – Reconnect with nature on a beautiful forest hike ending in a refreshing waterfall swim.
   
• Local Waterpark – Just for fun! A day of water slides, pools, and laughs.
   
• Live Soccer Game – Immerse yourself in Ghana’s favorite sport with the locals.
   
• African Market Tour – Learn how to bargain, buy fabrics, gifts, and handmade art.

• Mother & Son Gratitude Circle – Strengthen your emotional bond in a safe, affirming space.
   
• Workbook Sessions – Each mother and son receives a retreat journal with guided prompts for self-reflection and shared discussion.
   
• Fitness/Basketball Workshop – Keep it active and fun with group games and coaching.
   
• Cooking Class – Learn to make a traditional Ghanaian dish, side by side.
   
• Drumming & Dance Class – Celebrate movement and rhythm with local artists.

• Private lodgings for each Mother & Son pair—your own room and bath for comfort and privacy
   
• Sons have the option to stay in a communal sleeping area with other boys (with supervision) to foster friendship and trust
